WICKEDLY EFFECTIVE! TRULY AWESOME AT REMOVING MALWARES!, September 8, 2010

This review is from: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Lifetime (Software)
I’ve always been very careful and cautious in browsing the internet. I always make sure all defensive measures are in place to prevent a virus attack. But you can never be too careful. Just recently, I was infected by a really annoying and persistent malware called Security Suite. It creeps in your pc using back door methods and displays itself as an anti-virus software that persistently appears on your deskstop and no amount of clicking close or manual removal will remove it. Once infected, it disables your configured settings, disables your LAN settings–you wont be able to go online. Heck, my infection was so bad, it even disabled my ability to do a manual run of my anti-virus and anti-spyware! To an individual with basic computer skills, this annoyance will make you go to your nearest geeksquad and spend a hefty amount for its removal. But for industrious individuals, there is way and it effectively removes this rogue malware. There is a ton of information online on how to go about removing this infection. It gives you step by step instructions on how to remove them and what utilities you will need to counter this infection. Along with Rkill (Rogue Registry Killer), Malwarebytes effectively removed the rogue Security Suite malware that was bypassed by my separately installed Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware programs. Apparently, some malwares are immune from detection by your Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware software because it is always evolving, their configurations are getting better and better to escape detection. Malwarebytes scanned my system, detected the threat and effectively removed them from my pc. Malwarebytes is a software designed specifically to detect and destroy rogue threats that has infected your pc.
I was truly awed by this product. I have the trial version at the moment but will be upgrading ASAP to the full version to avail of is versatility and all-around protection 24/7. Great, great product and extremely highly recommended!!

I would highly recommend this product for all Windows users. I saved a friend’s computer from several Trojans that took over his computer. It took a lot of work to be able to install this product and run it but that was only caused by the Trojans. Those suckers would not allow access to internet and all types of folders and installations. I finally ran this Malwarebytes program after getting it to install and run in safe mode and wow it took care of all those horrible Trojans. I even used the file assassin program that comes with the purchase to destroy extra file extensions to some other forms of viruses that were hidden from his standard Anti Virus program.

MalwareBytes beats Norton hands down!, March 26, 2011

I felt compelled to write a positive review for MalwareBytes because their product gave me back control of my notebook, twice.
I bought Norton360 a while back which not only costs much much more, but was totally useless. After I entered the key, it kept going back asking me to enter it without telling me what went wrong – eventually I gave up.
My Windows 7 notebook (supposedly Microsoft’s most secure OS), was so viciously attacked by a Russian-made trojan, I could not even get onto the internet to get help. This thing completely took over my computer! And those annoying pop-ups trying to force me into going to their Russian website to buy their bogus anti-virus software, was really starting to get on my nerves.
So I got MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, and had to install from a disk (since my browser was hijacked). Voila! That took care of the problem instantly. I switched to Firefox, thinking it would be less vulnerable (since Internet Explorer’s ActiveX opens it up to attack). But soon after upgrading to Firefox 4.0, it happened again! And of course, Malware took care of the problem.
Before running MalwareBytes, I decided to give Norton another chance. I entered the key and same thing. Then a very fine print caught my eye. It said “You must activate this product within 15 days of installation with the enclosed Product key, or the product will stop working” Thanks a lot Norton, I just threw my money into your pockets for nothing. I’m never buying another Norton or Symantec product (that’s whole other story … rolling my eyes!).
