Question by bambam: Baldurs gate two keeps saying I have to install it soon after running windows live cleanup tool. How do I repair this?
I have been playing Baldurs gate two for a although. Soon after running the Windows reside scan and cleanup tool I can no longer play. It just keeps telling me to set up it. I’ve reinstalled the game but it even now says to install. I know it is a registry issue but how do I repair this?

Download the fixpacks to a subfolder outside of the Black Isle folders ( like one particular that you make in “My Documents”). Go to your handle panel and uninstall BG2 Totally…Go to the Plan Files, Black Isle and See if there is are SoA, or BGII, TOB files left, if there is delete the remaining subfolders initial, and then the primary folders. Restart your pc. Reinstall BGII with your discs, and then TOB if you have it. Then set up the fixpacks from your my Documents folder..if you have the expansion you only need t set up the fixpack for TOB, the SoA fixes are in the file with the TOB fixes. This must take care of your issue.

Note: Each BG ToSC (BG1) and BG2 are starting to have problems running on some newer more rapidly machines and with some windows applications… (BG1, ToSC does not like to run on most machines operating Windows XP simply because it was realeased back in 1999 for machines which have been then running Windows 95 and BG2 SoA is very best played on a technique operating Windows 98/2000/NT/XP but if you are operating Windows XP you may have upgraded your software to the point exactly where it no longer likes to run. This is why I maintain two tough drives, each ran with a different operating method, and I run my older games which I really like off of Windows 2000.
