its weird that there is no scan button on it. it only scans for rootkits. i set up it, simply because it is free of charge antispyware and was extremely ranked. is it trustworthy?

It has no scan button?? It is been awhile considering that I’ve utilised it, but it has a scan button so do not know what is going on with your install. See this picture of threatfire. page four I do not believe you can scan just a file, when you do a scan it really is your whole laptop or computer.

Take a look at this comparison table:

As you can see, free version of threat fire doesn’t provide On-demand scanning to clean an infected PC. You can only scan for rootkits. But it does have real time protection and updates automatically. I think it is reliable and if you want to keep it than download Malwarebytes which is also free to have spyware scanner in case threat fire won’t block certain viruses.
