Query by Alonzo L: what was this “security tool”?
a couple days ago my laptop or computer was acting up then out of nowhere this plan named “security tool” set up. it nonstop popped up saying i had viruses and showed me a list and brought up a page where i place in credit card information and when i exit out, it says “DO YOU WANT TO Carry on UNPROTECTED?” i didn’t place in credit card information. a couple days later my computer got rid of it on its personal. was that plan the real virus?

Its named a rogue. Not damaging per se but extremely aggravating. Malwarebytes will fix it. Download it and run a complete scan. Turn off your program restore prior to running the scan to avoid the virus from coming back.
