I like the Pc tools interface and it has worked so far for me. I not long ago switched to outpost which is very good too. Why would the Computer guy tell me to get rid of Computer tools firewall plus?

Unless of course there is some thing about that program that I do not know about it really is almost certainly just individual preference… he has a different 1 than you.

Just a thought, are you using Outpost Firewall? He’s probably saying that now you’re using Outpost Firewall, you need to remove PC Tools Firewall Plus because having more than one firewall will conflict. Golden rule, always only have one software firewall active on your computer.
You do have Windows firewall turned off I hope?
just today i was looking for a firewall comparison site and i found one that listed Outpost pro the number one but each have there strengths and weakness
